David Randlett: He is not here but he is not gone.
“I have terrible news.” That is what the doctor said as he came into the little meeting room. He then proceeded to tell all of us that despite all his best efforts, he could not save the life of David. Despite hours of fighting, trying all the conventional and cutting edge technology, and praying, his life ended. It was over.
It’s All In Your Head
So, the other day, I’m having a chat with a woman in her 90′s. She seemed quite irritated. I asked her how her day was. Here is how the conversation went.
Me. “How’s your day?”
Her: “It Stinks”
Me: “What’s so bad about it?”
Her: “Well, I just tried to go to the gym and it took forever to find a parking place and then when I finally found one and got inside, all the old people kept getting in my way, slowing me down!!” Read the rest of this entry »

Three C’s
I’m in this prayer meeting the other day and this thought occurs to me; What is it going to take for me to really focus on the things that matter? I find that I waste a lot of time on things that are just not a priority. I even do this in my own prayer life. Read the rest of this entry »
Oh, O.K.
Each week for about the past 55 weekends, I have made a trip to Hampton, VA. This particular weekend my daughter, Tyler, decides to go with me. On the way home, as usual, traffic was horrible on Interstate 64 West.
I couldn’t take it anymore so I just got off the nearest exit and decided to see what happened. We were driving and Tyler asks me: “Do you know where you are going?” Read the rest of this entry »
